You have many rooms in your home, but one that should be on the top of your list of most important rooms is the bathroom. Your bathroom plays an important functional role in your house. Unfortunately, they often tend to get ignored and overlooked.

But, all you need is one issue in your bathroom as a key reminder about just how important of a functional role your bathroom plays in your home.

Here are 5 reasons why your bathroom is the most important room in your house:

1.    It Is One Of The Most Used Rooms

There is no doubt that your bathrooms are one of the most used rooms in your home. Everyone in your household uses them multiple times each day. They are used all day long. From the minute you wake in the morning until you go to bed at night (and sometimes in the middle of the night) your bathroom is put to use. They are also used for many things – showering, bathing, getting ready for the day, and more.

2.    Bathrooms Play An Important Role In Establish Your Home Value

When people are looking to purchase a home, the number of bathrooms and overall bathroom design is a top consideration. Because of this, your bathroom plays a key role in determining your homes overall value. Well designed, aesthetic and highly functional bathrooms are highly desirable and will help increase your home value.

3.    It’s a Place Of Solitude

For many homeowners, your bathroom, especially your master bath, is a place to get away. It’s a place of solitude where you can get ready for the day, decompress from a stressful day at work and relax. It’s a place where you can be alone, relax in the tub, take a warm soothing shower, and completely unwind. With the right renovation, you can create a spa-like atmosphere at home.

4.    It Could Be One Of The Most Costly If Not Maintained

All bathrooms need to be well maintained. Since they get used a lot, you need to stay on top of things. We all know that a bathroom can be a source of water issues in your home. Therefore, failure to properly maintain your bathroom and address issues as they arise could lead to costly repairs. For this reason alone, it makes your bathroom one of the most important rooms to pay attention to in your house.

5.    You Can’t Live Without A Fully Functioning Bathroom

Everyone needs a fully functioning bathroom. You need a fully functioning toilet and a fully functioning shower or bath. Think about how challenging it would be to live in your home for even a few hours or days without a working shower or toilet.
