4 Reasons Why Renovating Your Guest Bathroom is a Worthwhile Investment for 2022

Some homeowners struggle with the idea of investing in their guest bathroom. It is not a room they use all the time, but it’s an important part of your home. Most are smaller and don’t take up much of a footprint in your home. But it is a worthwhile investment.

Below we’ll outline 4 reasons why renovating your guest bathroom is worth it.

All Bathroom Upgrades Provide A Good ROI – Even Guest Bathrooms

In general, all bathroom renovations are a worthwhile investment, including your guest bathroom. These projects have one of the highest rates of return. When done right, you could recuperate 100% of what you put into the project.

A bathroom is one room that is worthwhile to put money into. This is even more evident when you think about it from a functionality perspective. A guest bathroom in a central or common area of your home will get used frequently. Any upgrades you do will get noticed and be welcomed by visitors.

Increase Your Home Value

People typically do a renovation for two main reasons – to improve functionality and to increase their home value. Investing in a new guest bathroom does both. Bathrooms are one of the top considerations when realtors put a value on your property. So, if you are thinking about selling, a guest bathroom upgrade can be a quick way for you to boost your home value.

Renovation Costs Are Going Up

The longer you choose to wait to start a renovation project, the more it will cost. Building materials and the overall cost for bathroom renovation companies to do business continue to rise in Canada. Issues with the supply chain could also make it more challenging for you to get the specific bathroom components in the future. So, booking your project now will help you save money as opposed to waiting for another couple of years.

Minor Repairs Are Temporary

If your guest bathroom needs some work done, many people will opt to do the cheaper repair now. However, this could end up costing you more money long term. Most repairs and plumbing service calls will help for now, but it won’t be until you completely renovate the space that the guest bathroom will be free from issues. So, why not put that repair money towards the renovation. Investing in a renovation now will also reduce any repair or maintenance costs going forward.
