5 Great Reasons to Renovate Your Master Bathroom in 2022

With the significant spike in real estate costs over the last year or so, many people are choosing to renovate rather than move. One room in your home that you use all the time is your master bathroom. It is also a renovation project that you can customize for your specific needs while adding value to your property. It is a win-win renovation project to invest in.

If you are thinking about investing in your home in 2022, here are 5 good reasons to choose to renovate your master bathroom:

You Want to Invest In Your Home

With real estate prices getting out of control, and with home inventory levels being so low right now, many homeowners are turning to renovations as a means to invest in their homes. It is always a good idea to invest in your property to maintain and boost its value. The question usually becomes, where is the best place to invest? A master bathroom renovation is a great investment. It is estimated that you can recoup 70% or more of your investment depending on how your upgrade the space.

Better Use Of The Space

How you use a room in your home will change over time. Your needs will change. It is also common to want to change the use of space if you have recently bought the home. Perhaps the shower is too small, or the layout just doesn’t meet your needs or preferences. You can change the elements such as your shower, bath, or vanity to better use the space you have to work with.

To Prevent Damage

Sometimes master bathroom renovations need to be completed out of necessity. Perhaps you have noticed a small leak. Or parts of the room are starting to show their age. Small issues can turn into bigger problems if they are left unaddressed. So, investing in your master bathroom can also be a good solution to prevent future damage.

To Improve Energy Efficiency

If you have an older bathroom, then the odds are it does not work as efficiently as you would like. A renovation will allow you to choose a modern shower, toilet, and other fixtures that use less energy and help lower your energy costs.

To Make It More Accessible And Safer

A bathroom is a common place for slip and fall accidents. You can improve the safety of the space by choosing a design that has greater accessibility. You can also strategically install non-slip surfaces, GFI outlets, and other solutions to make it safer.
