Bathroom Renovation Tips for Your Dream Space

When thinking about your dream bathroom, what comes to mind? Maybe you’ve got a big family and need more space and functionality, or perhaps you’re hoping to create a calm, relaxing retreat at the end of a busy day. Whatever your vision is, it’s important to think about how you’ll use your bathroom so that you can plan the best design.

When you’re ready to start your bathroom renovation, it’s helpful to break the project down into specific categories to make sure everything gets done right.

Fixtures:

This includes things like your bathtub, sinks, faucets, and lights. These are the key elements that will make up the foundation of your bathroom.

Materials:

The materials you choose matter a lot. If you want a marble top for your vanity, or if it is extra fancy, go with this quality and value.

Decor:

Once settled on a design, don’t forget to add touches like decor and accessories. These sorts of fine additions are what truly turn the room from just another room into your own space.

You will create a bathroom that looks and feels great only if absolutely every element is carefully planned. Of course, the luxuries in it you see today — bathtub, shower or Jacuzzi.

Maximizing Space

Is your bathroom feeling cramped? You’re not alone! Many bathrooms feel small, especially if they’re filled with large fixtures or a vanity that takes up too much space. Here are some things to think about to maximize the space in your bathroom:

  1. Size of Bathroom: Can you expand the space by knocking down a wall? Or do you need to make the most of what you already have?
  2. Size of Fixtures: If you’re working with a small space, choose minimalist fixtures with clean lines that won’t overcrowd the area.
  3. Pipes and Electrical: You may want to relocate pipes or electrical wiring to optimize your bathroom’s layout.
  4. Wall Height and Length: If wall space is limited, consider adding vanity storage or a mirror with built-in storage to keep things tidy.
  5. Floors and Corners: Maximize floor space by choosing a pedestal sink or stand-alone bathtub, which will make the room feel less cluttered.
