If you are planning a bathroom renovation this year, the odds are you have already been looking around online for ideas. Whether you are only making a few minor changes to your bathroom or are planning to completely gut and remodel your bathroom space, we know you want to get the most out of the project and get the best value for your money invested.

The good news is that we have put together a list of some of the top bathroom renovation ideas and design trends just for you. Check them out:

1. Funky floor tiles:

Adding some flair to your floor tiles in the form of added unique colors, shapes and textures will be big in 2015. It’s a great way to add style, especially in smaller bathrooms where space is limited. People are also opting for geometric tiles as a way to add depth and style to bathroom walls.

2. The master suite retreat:

It’s no surprise that people want bigger master bathrooms and expect this trend to become more popular this year. To create more space, many homeowners are even going for an open concept master bed and bath.

3. Freestanding tubs:

People are thinking outside the box, and looking for new ways to integrate tubs into their bathroom design. Freestanding tubs continue to grow in popularity because of their diversity, unique designs, and great look.

4. Custom vanities:

Traditional vanities are on the way out as more and more people are looking for more eccentric designs for their bathroom vanities. This trend is resulting in more people taking design into their own hands and creating custom designs for their vanities that will give them the style and functionality they are going for.

5. Bigger showers:

No surprise here. People want more space when they shower. Small stall style show designs are not appealing to most people. You can also expect to see more unique faucets and cool water control systems being installed. 2015 is about having a shower experience.

Overall the design trends for 2015 continue toward the direction of creating high quality spa like atmospheres at home. People want to come home after work and have a spa like setting where they can enjoy and wind down.
